New SARS requirements for Section 18A certificates

It’s vital that managers of non-profits, accounting firms and legal entities are fully up-to-date about changes in pertinent tax legislation, if they are to educate and support the donors who generously fund NPOs. Legal terms and requirements can be confusing, however, and it’s easy to become bewildered by current and pending changes to the law, where donations are concerned.

Fortunately, Turning Point Chartered Accountants, a multi-disciplinary consultancy offering comprehensive financial solutions for NPOs, provided a free webinar on Section 18A legislation facilitated by Inyathelo. Find out more about the background to Section 18A legislation, new requirements for the 2024 financial tax year starting on 1 March 2023, and changes that are still pending.

Inyathelo thanks Ridhwaan Khan CA(SA), HDip (Tax), HDip (VAT) - Director of Tax and Reza Amra CA(SA) -  Director, both Partners from Turning Point Chartered Accountants and Rochnee Rivera Green, Specialist at the SARS Tax Exempt Institutions (TEI) Segment: Education and Outreach Stakeholder Relations, who generously shared their expertise at a highly attended non-profit tax webinar.
