The Power of Giving!

The Inyathelo Philanthropy Awards acknowledge the exceptional personal contributions that South African philanthropists make to improving conditions in education, health and welfare, arts and culture, human rights and social benefit in our country. We are seeking nominations in five categories for people who have committed their personal resources towards social development in South Africa.

Special Recognition Award for Philanthropy
  This Award is in recognition of an individual philanthropist for his/her exceptional commitment to the advancement of philanthropy and their dedication to bringing about beneficial change in the South African community through their personal financial contributions.
   
Youth in Philanthropy Award
  This Award is for a young person under the age of 35 who has pioneered creative ways of addressing development or social issues in his/her own community through direct financial support, development of charitable programmes, and the cultivation of a young generation of philanthropic leaders.
   
Women in Philanthropy Award
  This Award recognises the contribution of an outstanding woman philanthropist for her leadership and innovation in growing awareness of philanthropy and who has, through her example, encouraged other South Africans to commit their financial resources to social causes.
   
Community Philanthropy Award
  This award recognises an individual who has worked tirelessly to create a more positive and healthy environment in a particular community, giving of their personal money, their energy and their creativity to build initiatives and to encourage others to give.
   
Lifetime Achievement Award for Philanthropy
  This Award pays tribute to individuals who during their lifetimes have tirelessly dedicated themselves and their financial resources to bring about social change, and to build a culture of giving in South Africa.
