Other particpants were Beth Breeze, from the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy at the University of Kent and Professor Brij Maharaj from the University of KwaZulu Natal. Discussion was wide ranging and dealt with topics such as whether those with resources have a moral obligation to "give back"; how does one encourage philanthropy; what makes a donor give.
