Workshops and Training for NPOs / Civil Society
What is Advancement? And how does it relate to Fundraising? Inyathelo hosts workshops and training for NPOs to enhance their understanding of how to attract resources to their organisations, to their programmes and projects. Workshops take place over two days and cover the following areas:
- Strategically positioning your organisation to attract support which includes defining Advancement and Advancement Ethics;
- Understanding the donor landscape and Prospect Research;
- Effective Online Strategies for the Advancement Operation; and
- Proposal Writing.
The first day of the workshop covers theory and discussion is encouraged. The range of topics allows for organisational challenges to be surfaced and addressed. The second day provides the opportunity to put theory to work, with round robins of group activity on the various topics. Click here for a sample programme.
Learning opportunities for 2012 are tabled below. Note that our main training event for 2012 is the Autumn Academy for NPOs which will be a 3 day training event, with a mix of speakers covering a range of topics. The event will be held in Cape Town.
