Inyathelo is involved in a range of initiatives and the production of many different information resources, and we regularly host launches of one kind or another.

Kresge-Inyathelo Advancement Initiative in South Africa

Inyathelo will be launching Round 2 of the Kresge-Inyathelo Advancement Initiative in South Africa on the evening of 17th April 2012 in Johannesburg. Keynote speakers include John Pampallis, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Training; Prof Cheryl de la Rey (Vice-Chancellor & Principal, University of Pretoria); William Moses (Program Director, Kresge Foundation); Shelagh Gastrow (Executive Director, Inyathelo). Invited guests include Vice-Chancellors of South African Universities and Universities of Technology, Executive and senior management of HE institutional foundations and relevant departments, grantmakers and umbrella HE institutions. Following on from the launch, the Orientation Workshop will be hosted on 18 April, also in Johannesburg. The aim of the workshop is to provide an overview of the KSI programme and includes a session on the detail of the application process. The workshop is aimed at institutions interested in participating in the KSI programme over the next 5 years.
